Creating a Comforting Space

In order to cultivate the most comforting space in which my performance can take place I have considered multiple factors such as, Lighting, colour, textures, objects, sounds, smells and the clothing I wear. To find out this I have been lurking around DJCAD asking which colour is the most soothing, and also posters with questions like how do you self soothe, how did you self soothe as a child. This both gave me the sorts of things people look for in a comforting space but also clued me in to how much variation I need to prepare for. This is particularly important as i want to be able to cater to each individual that comes through my space.
